The inner and outer rings and rolling elements of zirconia full ceramic bearings are made of zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic material, while the cage is manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Nylon 66, polyetherimide (PEI), zirconia, silicon nitride, stainless steel, or specialized aerospace-grade aluminum. Zirconia full ceramic bearings possess characteristics such as non-magnetic, electrically insulating, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant to strong acids and bases, self-lubricating without oil, and resistance to extreme temperatures, both high and low. They can operate in harsh environments and special working conditions where steel bearings are unsuitable. With stainless steel cages or full-ball designs, they can be used in temperatures above 450°C. With PTFE or PEEK cages, they are suitable for temperatures above 250°C.
High Speed: These bearings exhibit cold resistance, low elasticity, high pressure resistance, low thermal conductivity, lightweight design, and low friction coefficients. They can be used in high-speed spindles and other precision equipment operating at speeds ranging from 12,000 rpm to 75,000 rpm.
High Temperature Resistance: With operating temperatures between 100°C and 600°C, these bearings do not experience thermal expansion issues caused by temperature differences. They can be applied to high-temperature equipment such as furnaces, plastic molding machines, and steelmaking machinery.
Corrosion Resistance: The material inherently resists corrosion, making it suitable for environments involving strong acids, strong alkalies, inorganic salts, organic salts, and seawater. Applications include electroplating equipment, electronic devices, chemical machinery, shipbuilding, and medical instruments.
Non-Magnetic: The non-magnetic nature prevents dust accumulation, helping reduce premature peeling and noise. Suitable for demagnetization equipment, precision instruments, and other fields.
Electrical Insulation: With high resistivity, these bearings are immune to damage from electric arcs and can be used in various electrical equipment requiring insulation.
Operation in Vacuum: Thanks to the unique self-lubricating properties of ceramic materials in oil-free conditions, zirconia full ceramic bearings can solve lubrication challenges in ultra-high vacuum environments, where conventional bearings fail.
