Composite ceramic bearings

Composite ceramic bearings are high-performance bearings that combine the advantages of multiple materials. They typically consist of rolling elements made of ceramic materials (such as silicon nitride, silicon carbide, etc.) and inner and outer rings made of metallic materials.

Advantages of Composite Ceramic Bearings:

  1. High Temperature Resistance: Ceramic balls have a low thermal expansion coefficient. In high-temperature environments, they do not expand due to heat, significantly improving the maximum operating temperature of the bearing. While the temperature limit of ordinary bearings is around 160°C, ceramic ball bearings can reach temperatures above 220°C.

  2. High Rotational Speed: Ceramic balls possess self-lubricating properties without the need for oil and have a low coefficient of friction. As a result, ceramic ball bearings achieve higher rotational speeds. Statistics show that the speed of bearings using ceramic balls is more than 1.5 times that of standard bearings.

  3. Longer Lifespan: Ceramic balls can operate without any grease. Even if the grease dries out, the bearing can still function, thus avoiding premature bearing failure caused by dried grease in standard bearings. According to our tests and customer feedback, the lifespan of bearings using ceramic balls is 2-3 times longer than that of ordinary bearings.

  4. Insulation: Bearings with ceramic balls can provide insulation between the inner and outer rings of the bearing. Since ceramic balls are insulators, they offer an insulating effect between the bearing's inner and outer rings, allowing the bearings to function in conductive environments.
